Spacemusic Ensemble er den nye sekstetten til det danske «saksofenomenet» Signe Emmeluth, som er utdanna ved jazzlina i Trondheim og no er basert i Oslo. Trass sin unge alder har ho allereie gjort seg bemerka med kvartetten Konge (som består av tungvektarane Mats Gustavsson, Ole Martin Vågan og Kresten Osgood), sitt eige band Emmeluth’s Amoeba, og gjennom samspel med mellom andre Paal Nilssen-Love, John Edwards og Mette Rasmussen.
Spacemusic Ensemble består av ei rekkje fremadstormande musikarar frå band som Rohey og Megalodon Collective. På Vossa Jazz skal dei framføra det nye verket IS OKAY OKAY IS CERTIFIED, som kombinerer akustisk og elektronisk lyd med tekst og stemme, og viser korleis improvisasjon og komposisjon kan berika kvarandre og gje plass til individuelle stemmer i musikken.

Spacemusic Ensemble a new sextet led by the Danish, Oslo-based «saxophenomenon» Signe Emmeluth. Despite her young age she has already played with such artists as John Edwards, Mette Rasmussen, Paal Nilssen-Love and Kresten Osgood, as well as her own band Emmeluth’s Amoeba. Spacemusic ensemble consists of up-and-coming artists from Rohey and Megalodon Collective among others. They will perform «Spacemusic 2» at Vossa Jazz – a new work that explores the symbiosis between composition and improvisation with electric and acoustic instrumentation.
