I januar 2016 kjem Tord Gustavsen med plata What Was Said på ECM.

In January 2016 Tord Gustavsen releases his new album What Was Said on ECM. With Afghan-German singer Simin Tander and the amazing Jarle Vespestad on drums he reinterprets and challenges ancient Norwegian hymns. Some of the lyrics has been translated to the beautiful Afghan language pashto by Tander and the poet B. Hamsaaya. The album is a natural succesor to earlier collaborations, trio and quartet-music by Gustavsen, but this is the first time he will use subtle hints of electronics in addition to his magnificent acoustic piano playing.
