The Source feirar 30-års jubileum på Vossa Jazz 50!
Sidan dei gav ut debutalbumet «Olemanns Kornett» i 1994 har The Source vore ein viktig institusjon i norsk jazz- og musikkliv. Dei har no gjeve ut sju album, reist land og strand, turnert som kvartett, med strykekvartettar, kammerorkestre, musikarar frå Egypt, India, Bulgaria, ja til og med Noreg, bandet Motorpsycho, diktarar, poetar, skøyteløparar og ishockeylag!
Musikken spenner vidt: Den svingar, engasjerer, loddar djupt, flyg høgt og byr alltid på overraskingar, ispedd ein god dose humor. Dei er kjende for sine legendariske jolekonsertar, og dei har hatt «The Source: of Summer» på Nathionalteatret. No kjem dei til Vossa Jazz og feirar jubileum med oss!

The Source celebrates 30 years of madness! Since releasing their debut album, Olemanns Kornett (a pun on Coleman Ornett, Olemann is slang for the male name Ole) this band has been an important institution in Norwegian music. Having toured all around the world they have included guest artists to their shows from Egypt, India, Bulgaria, from bands like Motorpsycho, poets, authors, icehockeyplayers and more! The music is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a wide range of genres, expressions, moods and rhythms, with a generous dollop of humour on top. They are especially known for their Christmas gigs, The Source of Christmas. Join them as the reveal the Source of Voss!
