Sinikka Langeland Quartet

Det er duka for nydeleg sleppefest i Gamlekinoen når Sinikka, hennar dyktige musikarar og vakre videoinstallasjonar inntek scena.

Sinikka sin nye musikk for kantele, bratsj, saksofon og perkusjon er inspirert av Tomas Tranströmers dikt “Den halvfärdiga himlen “ og naturen i Finnskogane der ho bur. «Å se rugda fly over hustaket, blåmeisen danse inn og ut av fugleburet mens haren hopper i vårlyset» er blitt musikk med kantelen i sentrum.

Det er fjerde utgjeving på det tyske kredselskapet ECM, «The half finished heaven» på direkte oppmoding av direktør Manfred Eicher. Gled deg til ein mektig og magisk konsert på Voss.

The incomparable Sinikka Langeland revisits Vossa Jazz with brand new material. Her release ceremony will take place in the Gamlekinoen with visuals and visionaries. Her use of the Finnish harp instrument kantele along with an otherwordly voice has made her known well outside the borders of Norway, and this is the fourth release for ECM, this time especially requested by head of the record company, Manfred Eicher.
