Charlie Parker pleidde å introdusere henne som «the singer with the million ears», grunna hennar store evne til improvisasjon og samspel.
English:
Sheila Jordan is a unique voice in the history of jazz. She was born in Detroit in 1928, and developed a taste and talent for bebop and scat singing early on. She pioneered scat singing with upright bass as the only accompaniment, and has often returned to this duo-format throughout her career. Cameron Brown is an experienced upright bass player – over the course of his career he has played with the likes of Art Blakey, Chet Baker and Don Pullen/George Adams Quartet. Jordan is an artist with a great talent for storytelling, emotion and improvisation. Charlie Parker used to introduce her as «the singer with the million ears», due to her great improvisational skills and musical ability.
