Det er over 20 år sidan Torhild Ostad gav ut den vakre folketonesamlinga Blomar i moll. No er ho tilbake, denne gongen saman med den danske pianisten Carsten Dahl. I han har ho funne ei musikalsk tvillingsjel – saman har dei laga ei søkjande, kjenslevar, andfull og djup plate som ber tittelen Jeg roper til deg (2018). Her er nyskrivne melodiar og tekstar av Ostad, i tillegg til improvisasjonar og religiøse folketonar.

Norwegian folk music singer Thorild Ostad and the danish piano player Carsten Dahl joined musical forces on the 2018 record «Jeg roper til deg» («I’m calling for you»), with new compositions by Ostad, in addition to religious music and improvised pieces. The result is a haunting, tender, deep and captivating collection of songs, combining folk traditions from western Norway with religious music, european jazz and classical influences.
